LEONARDÂ CORTANA
Director
Leonard Cortana is a doctoral student at the NYU Cinema Studies Department. Prior to his studies, he has worked for almost a decade as a social worker / trainer and theatre practitioner. He founded the collective Inform ‘ART that gathered social workers and artists and worked for several years building European youth artistic residencies. His research interests focuses on youth activism, search for the roots narrative in Brazil, the US and Metropolitan France and overseas territories.

Éthel Oliveira (Brazil) is a documentarist, cineclubista and editor. Through her experiences as a black woman, lesbian woman and the Baixada Fluminense, she seeks in her work to enclose the universes of issues of genres, popular culture and the black diaspora. She collaborates with the film Sementes.

Pilar is a self-taught photographer born in Madrid (Spain)Â Passionate about photography & film, feminist as a way of life. "As a photographer my most challenging job is to become invisible - to get out of the way -capture a moment and let the image speak for itself. The greatest expression of art requires no explanation " currently working with the feminist movement and the minorities.
